"High Voltage" - a single black diamond. Yes, I am camped on a ski run. Ski runs in the summer are like swimming pools in the winter: desolate & sad - last season's playthings.

The hike today started late. I slept in until 8:30 & then had my 1st attempt at making coffee on the trail- sans filter. Drinkable but needs more practice.

I had planned on doing another 5 miles this evening but the tremendous view from the gap was too good to pass up. I can even see Lake Tahoe, shimmering in the last rays of the sun...
