Starting: Section F3 - Ridge before Waterfall Canyon
Ending:  Section F6 - Almost to Hamp Williams Pass

Coldest night yet: a chilly 39 degrees. Oh how I love you, my beautiful down sleeping bag, even if you do stink of old farts & body odor.

How can I describe that stink? Hmm... Imagine if you could condense a fart into a solid & then burn it alongside sweaty workout clothes left for a month in a gym bag in the backseat of a parked car.

I must admit that I have finally gotten tired of the monotonous terrain of dry southern California, NOT including the mountains. We caught our first faint glimpse of the snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada that are less then a week away.
