A delicious morning. Up at 7, grabbed coffee, breakfast & LA times. Caught up on all the news- it all feels very distant and irrelevant.

Walked over to the grocery store for supplies & stopped at the library to check email. Picked up a couple bottles of Heet (stove fuel) at the auto parts store.

Jason's parents had stopped by for a visit & they offered to take us back to the trailhead. They dropped Pete & me off with delicious chicken sandwiches and Gatorade.

After an afternoon hike through more wind turbines we set up camp at dusk on an exposed & windy ridge…
