Southern California
Starting: Section D2 - 5 miles past Swarthout Canyon
Ending:  Section D5 - Wrightwood

Today would be a short day, just 16 miles to Highway 2 & a hitch into Wrightwood for a day off.

The weather was perfect & the miles were easy. Lunched at Guffy Campground with its amazing view of Mt baldy.

Got to the Highway & had a ride before we could even stick out our thumbs. Vince, a long time section hiker, saw us coming & drove us into town in his Corvette.

Pete & I split a room at the Pines Motel. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow…
