Starting: Section H2 - Viewless Saddle
Ending:  Section H5 - Panther Creek

Big climbs & descents were once again the order of the day. The frustrating thing about this section is that after hiking 35 miles with over 7,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain, the net gain from Cascade Locks is only a couple hundred feet.

Got to Stablers Store in the early afternoon. Picked up my mail drop containing 4 days of food for the journey to White Pass. Enjoyed several pepperoni hot pockets while watching Oprah.

Took another short day & camped at nearby Panther Creek Campground. It was already closed for the season so I squatted in one of the remote campsites.

Met "The Interviewer" Claire, a French section hiker who was finishing a 10-day southbound section. She is collecting data on thru-hikers for her dissertation. Pretty cool...
