Awoke to a cold wind & threatening rain clouds. Stayed in the safety of my sleeping bag until 8:30 am. Bundled in my down jacket (ahhh, warm clothes) I broke down camp, made a hot cup of coffee & listened to the forecast on my headphones: cold and very windy all day, showers likely.

I prepared for a wet day & started hiking in my rain gear. The cool weather & mostly downhill trail made for fast hiking. Caught TYVEK at Trooper Springs where we got water & exchanged the latest trail gossip.

Sprinkled off & on all day but never really rained. It was cold all day - I would have been in trouble without my warm clothes...
